You know you're a heifer when...
....you go to the bathroom and your underwear breaks. The string on it just snapped. And this was underwear I bought last week in a size larger than I usually wear. Must have been defective, right?? Tied it back together since I am no longer in a position to go commando. Came back into my office to cry into my o.reos

Hey, I feel your pain. I've been having serious trouble getting my pajama pants up and down. My pajama pants with the enormous elastic waistband. Grr.
Plus, underwear that new? Not your fault.
Definitely faulty construction. But I'd have some oreos or ice cream to cheer you up ;-)
I'm sorry about the undies. You're not a heifer. You're beautiful and pregnant :) I'm sure there was somethin' wrong with them drawers!
Funny you mention O.reos. I was just looking at a recipe of sunflower cupcakes that used Or.eos for the center. Yum!
I'm with Rachel...except, you should have ice cream WITH oreos - obviously.
Those shady sewing people...labeling the wrong size, or using old string that breaks instead of gives - if only we could sue.
And FYI - if you eat a whole bag of Oreos in one sitting or so - don't be worried and think you have an ulcer if you have coffee ground stools.
I'm just saying. I would hate for you to have a major freak out in the bathroom at work or something, you know, if it happened.
Dude, it's defective underwear. You are beyoooteeful!
It's called Mom's Apple Pie, they are online and stores in Sterling and Leesburg. Be a part of it.
BTW, the Blockbuster Video by the Whole Foods by your old house just changed into Jason's Deli and it rocks! Got me some tomato basil soup and a salad with lots of goodness.
those underwear should be ahasmed of themsleves!!! Don;t you take that from them!
Faulty underwear. for sure. You are pregnant, beautiful and wonderful. Hugs.
OMG...that is horrible! I'm so sorry! I can only say that b/c I went from a size small to size XL (in men's boxers). I've also realized that in trying to get my underwear to a comfortable position (b/c I refuse to purchase maternity underwear), I am unintentionally rough on them b/c they don't do what I want! Eat the oreos and laugh over this one...you're not alone!
I totally vote for the option that they were made defective. You know with all the cutbacks companies make with the economy and outsourcing, and things aren't made like they used to be. Silly defective underwear...don't for a moment think it's you - you are beautiful. Bad underwear for making my friend feel bad....bad underwear!!!! ((hugs)) and oreos all around - I had an oreo shake tonight again :-)
i'm wearing x-large panties and i'm damn proud! not sure where i get the next size but i'll need them in a few weeks i'm sure.
Definitely shoddy craftsmanship. You are the anti-heifer, darlin.
I admire you for realizing the need for an upsize. It has taken me two weeks to realize that the cause of the red, raw, itchy chaffing along my bikini line is not some bizarre infection. It's underwear rub. Looks like I'm due for an upsize myself. =)
Sounds like defective undies to me! And now I want some oreos.
Was I supposed to laugh out loud when I read that? Because I did. :-) I'm so, so sorry but at least it's for a good cause!!!
Ooh ooh, can I play? I just stepped on a scale for the first time in weeks and I am the heaviest I have ever been! And not pregnant! WOO HOO! Heifers unite!
Ouch! That does hurt. I had that happen once...so I switched to only wearing maternity underpants. They are worse than granny panties, but they didn't break on me.
And yes, oreos do make everything better. Yum!
Seriously! The company should have taken more care when stitching up something so personal. Seeeeriously noooow.
That was totally defective underwear!! Not your fault, but the crappy construction.
Don't feel bad...I sat down and broke our toilet seat when I was 8 months pregnant...and after I gave birth I was horrified to have my mother run out and buy me underwear that was 3 sizes bigger.
That happened to me too... I was getting dressed and put my hand through the fabric of my underwear. It just ripped immediately. I laughed, but it was depressing. Just one of those hidden surprises of pregnancy.
Take care,
Sarah
Looking through posts for Blogger Bingo, I think this is definitely my favorite! Laughed out loud and my husband looked over at me like WTF? How come they don't put this in the pregnancy books? You know it happens to other people. :) By now, I'm sure you are laughing at this. :D Thanks for the smile.
lol! I'm here from blogger bingo and this post made me laugh. I love that you said your underwear 'broke.' Pregnancy sounds like it definitely has it's difficult moments, but I'm glad you could laugh through this one (as evidenced by your post). :)
